Ron Jolly has covered northern Michigan on radio and TV for over 30 years.  He’s authored the Northern Michigan Almanac (U of M Press 2005) and co-authored Michigan’s Upper Peninsula Almanac (U of M Press 2010).  If you want to know about the latest news or hear nuggets of unusual historic facts, tune in weekday mornings between 7-10am. 
Ron and Co-host/Producer, Colleen Wares, cover current topical stories from northern Michigan, around the state, and the world.  And, they have a lot of fun with music from the past 50 years.

Colleen Wares was born and raised in Chicago.  Her radio star has shone on several states, including Florida and Michigan. Colleen moved over from many years on the WTCM-FM Morning Show, and is now featured on the "The Ron Jolly Show" and “The Christal Frost Show”, getting her back to her roots as an award-winning news reporter and anchor.  She is active in numerous local causes and is a big fan of the local music scene (her very tall son Justin is a drummer for the rock band G-Snacks).

Words to the Wise with Mike Sheehan, Tuesday at 9:10am

Michael Sheehan retired in 1994 after teaching English for 26 years in the City Colleges of Chicago. He lives in Leelanau County. In his spare time he is a writer, and he does a weekly guest stint on Tuesday mornings from 9:00-10:00 on AM 580, WTCM. The show is called Words to the Wise, and it covers the joys and vicissitudes of the English language.

Angie (Morgan) Witkowski learned how to take risks during her time in the United States Marine Corps.  Following active-duty service, she authored the NY Times Best-Selling SPARK, Bet on You, and Leading from the Front.  Her work focuses on helping others lead their lives and take the risks most meaningful to them.  Angie's a native of Kalkaska and now lives in Traverse City.  She and her husband, Ed, own Morsels Cafe and Bakery downtown.  Angie's an avid athlete, mom to two awesome boys, and loves Northern Michigan living.
